Abstract

Different studies indicate that the organizational climate impacts on human behavior at work, highlighting the importance that should be attributed to this theme in the management of human resources. In this sense, the objective of this research was to analyze the influence of the organizational climate on the intention of the individual to stay in the organization. To collect data, a survey was carried out in the cities of Ouro Preto and Mariana, Minas Gerais, through the application of a self-administered questionnaire. The sample consisted of 277 workers. To analyze the data, two statistical techniques were used: Exploratory Factor Analysis and Multiple Regression Analysis. The results confirm the relationship between the two constructs and indicate that leadership and the work environment are the elements of the organizational climate that exert a greater influence on the intention of the individuals to remain linked to the same employer.
