GENDER AND WOMEN: ANALYSIS OF THE SCIENTIFIC PRODUCTION OF THE NATIONAL MEETING OF ORGANIZATIONAL STUDIES FOR THE YEARS FROM 2006 TO 2014

Abstract

The objective of this research was to analyze the articles on gender and woman published in the EnEO event between the period from 2006 to 2014 through a bibliometric research. Therefore, the methodology used was a quantitative and descriptive approach. Excel 2010 software was used for data analysis. The main results showed that most articles are written by two authors, most of them being female. Authors and coauthors do not reappear in later research, which may indicate that the coauthor relationship seems to be poorly motivated and exploited. Thus, there is also the implication that the topic in question is not worked with a certain periodicity. Moreover, most of the publications are of a qualitative approach, of a theoretical-empirical nature and composed of cross-sectional studies. The choice of the technique of data analysis was quite diverse, not having a preponderance of any of them. It was concluded that the analyzed articles addressed certain particularities about gender and women in areas where there is little accumulated knowledge and systematized. Thus, corroborating with the indication that this theme still needs different investigations and that its advances are measured periodically.
