Abstract

In managing administrative processes of the Public University, the impacts innovation directly in organizational culture, to suggest changes in the way people do their jobs. The use of technology can mitigate this impact, if it has simplified the process and generate benefits to people in carrying out their tasks. This article aims to analyze the prospects for innovation in the management of administrative processes of the public university. This, through the implementation of digital certification technology, in the matters people, technologies and processes, their characteristics and problems and suggest an innovation in management administrative processes using digital certification technology. Therefore, there was use of descriptive and documentary research, literature review and case study. The primary data for the article were collected through observation and documents research. As a result, it was revealed that the current system of issuing diplomas has experienced professionals to work in the necessary procedural moves, however, most of the process takes place manually and can be simplified with the use of digital certification technology. It is concluded that for innovation to occur in the management of administrative processes through the implementation of technology, enabling people to use this technology is required. Also, mapping and adjustment of process tasks and the compatibility of the current administrative system to recognize certificates digital. Are suggested actions that foster new research projects and uses for digital certification in socio-technical perspective inside and outside the university.

Possui Graduação em Administração pela Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (2011), com especialização em Administração, Gestão Pública e Políticas Sociais pela Faculdade Dom Bosco, é mestrando pelo Programa de Pós-Graduação em Administração Universitária pela Universidade Federal de santa Catarina. Tem experiência em redes e formação técnica na área de Microeletrônica, com ênfase em Eletrônica Industrial. Trabalha na Coordenadoria de Certificação Digital da Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, onde é servidor desde 2004.
