Abstract

Some secondary metabolites produced by specific kinds of fungi are denominated mycotoxins. As the name suggests, they are toxins that can intoxicate animals and humans, bringing harm to health as carcinogenic, mutagenic, immunosuppressive pathogens, Besides several other characteristics. These
mycotoxinsmay contaminate food, water and even the air. This review intent to explain the problems caused to living beings by mycotoxins, how it interacts with the  environment and its diversity, in special the interactions between mycotoxins in waterand rice crop.
