Abstract

Studies in the field of organizational behavior are of extreme importance to organizations, considering that interactions among employees impact the work and performance of organizations. In this context, this study aimed to analyze the relationship between the constructs Organizational Climate (OC) and Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB). The research method adopted was the survey and the data collected were analyzed using two statistical methods: Exploratory Factor Analysis and Multiple Regression. The results indicate that the quality of managerial leadership, the quality of work relationships, good working conditions, and the effectiveness of the company in solving problems presented by employees influence the proactivity of individuals at work, which is a dimension of the construct OCB. For future research, it is suggested that the individual characteristics of employees, and factors such as job satisfaction and perspective of professional growth be investigated as antecedents of OCB.
