Abstract

Technology has become notably part of customer service. One example is the diffusion of mobile banking that has been intensified in the last years. Although there are many supporters, mobile banking finds resistance to its adoption. The aim of this study is to analyze the resistance factors and the motivations related to mobile banking use. To reach such a goal, we used the adaptation of Technology Acceptance Model, Innovation Diffusion Theory and Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology. The results indicate that the resistance factors that most influence the adoption of this technology are the use and risk barriers, while the perception of pleasure and compatibility are the factors that motivate the most.
