Abstract

The article is a descriptive study of the field report type involving three students in the eighth and sixth phases. The “Sustainable Brushstrokes” project was carried out in seven phases in the Environmental Chemistry and Instrumental Analysis I subject of the Bachelor of Chemistry Course to investigate the production, use, and disposal of paints safely and sustainably, using knowledge from chemistry, engineering, art, technology, and mathematics. The project was set up to promote interdisciplinary learning and environmental awareness. To this end, STEAM education was used to engage students in practical and reflective activities. Evaluation of the results showed that environmental awareness, creativity, and problem-solving skills increased. In addition, environmental education was highlighted as an important aspect of the project. The conclusion is that the project highlighted the importance of environmental education and the integration of STEAM fields for meaningful learning and promoting sustainable solutions.
