Abstract

This study aims to analyze the citation network among the authors of the most scientific articles on Open Innovation in Small and Medium Enterprises. For that, a bibliographic portfolio was elaborated on the subject. The analysis revealed that the network has a degree of 10.4% of density, indicating that there is a low level of citations among authors, and that there are few centralized authors with a high number of relationships, and many authors in peripheral positions, With low number of relationships with the other authors. The analysis also revealed that the most prominent authors are Chesbrough, Van de Vrande and Lee. It can be concluded that a small number of authors have a significant influence on the others. And, the low degree of citations among authors shows that the topic is not yet consolidated in the literature, indicating that there is a promising field for future research.
